Computer Waste and Electronics Recycling laws went to to effect of January 1, 2011 due to the impact it has on the environment when not properly disposed of.

The Electronic Waste Management Act requires electronic waste such as: computers, monitors, Televisions, and accessories to be properly disposed of and recycled. Electronics are no longer permitted to be disposed of curbside trash due to overfilling landfills with hazardous waste.

How it started..

Over the past several decades I started saving and collecting various obsolete electronics, and other assorted used items that were destined to be trash....Today it's commonly called hoarding.....But  I always had the idea that I was going to do something with all of it, and  it's impact on the environment....

Interesting Facts About Tennis Balls

300 Million Tennis Balls are manufactured worldwide each year and tons of balls are discarded into landfills each year and remain in the waste stream.

Approximately 50,000 balls are used during major events like the US Open, Australia Open,.

Penn E. has been created from a mold of 35 lbs of Plaster of  Paris, approx. 300 tennis balls all connected together using  hundreds of hot glue sticks.. I still have the blisters  to  prove it...

Her face and make up has been detailed to be pretty a  unblemished beauty.

While Ace Face her sometimes Tennis Partner; was often  her opponent would seemed not to fair as well during their  competition against each other.

          The journey...

Electronic Waste

Albert Techstein (named after Einstein his idol) was  created from  3 old computers cell phones, CD's  Blackberry's IPhones,  hundreds of feet of wire, has a  working IPod Dock,  Speakers integrated LED Lighting, and his face is cast from a  mold of approx.35 Lbs of Plaster of Paris, then hand painted to  resemble Einstein.

Being cognizant most of the parts could not be discarded due to  ecological waste concerns, as well as security issues associated  with hard drive data, I decided to re-purpose them to create Albert  Techstein.."The Ultimate Geek".

THOSE WHO INSPIRED IT

DID YOU KNOW THERE IS A WORLD WIDE EPIDEMIC ON ELECTRONIC WASTE DISPOSAL ?

Being regular competitive tennis players, my wife, son and I would  each week routinely bring home at least a dozen tennis balls that lost their bounciness and had become unusable for new games.

I knew there had to be something better to do with them other than using them for  dog toys, walkers in nursing homes or chair bottoms.

Years ago recycling facilities were not common... and only recently some  tennis facilities have provided made to recycle used balls.

So all of  our the balls wound up in a big plastic bag stowed away in a closet.. and that's how the concept for Penn E. Wilson and Ace Face were conceived.

( Penn, Wilson and Prince Ace Face are major brands in the tennis industry.)

Parts like these can be used to create new sculptures.
